If I've said it once, I've said it a million times, GA know how to do a good b-side. Most of their b-sides are great, the one on this single is no exception. This is CD2 of the single and features a good lineup. Rundown:01. Wake Me UpNow WMU is not a favourite of mine, I have never really liked it. I was actually quite dismayed to find it was the last release from the WWTNS? album. It reached #4, which is respectable. The song is quite rocky and hair swinging and the girls get to rock out a bit. But I find it quite bland at times and only if I listen to it rarely do I like it. (3/5)02. Wake Me Up [Tony Lamezma's "Love Affair" Mix]Now this what I'm talking about. Tony Lamezma improves WMU ten fold with this remix. It turns from a rocky track into more of a poppy track. Much, much better. This is one of Lamezma's best remixes. (5/5)03. HistoryI gave the CD 5 stars because of this song. This is one of my fave GA b-sides. Expertly co-written and lead by Cheryl, this is just beautiful. A tender, moving ballad about a troubled relationship, Cheryl sounds wistful and sad on this song. She sings most of it solo but the girls join in on the middle 8. This song also has amazing lyrics. Definitely brilliant and definitely the reason to buy this single. (5/5)04. Wake Me Up [Video]Now I think the video to WMU is actually good. I still don't like the song but the video is cool if not kinda cheesey. The girls are in the desert, riding motorbikes and just generally being sexy. They look amazing and their dance routine in the middle is really cool. A good video that is actually better then the song. (4/5)The video is teamed with a karaoke version and a game.Overall, the song itself is weak but the single is really good with one of GA's best b-sides outshining it. 5 stars.
